It is important for all competitors and their supporters to understand the criteria upon which their individual performance is judged, and to trust the independence and impartiality of the judges.
At this competition the judges score in strict accordance with the criteria required. A set number of marks are awarded under each of the following headings.
• Costume and Presentation
• Musical Interpretation
• Technique
• Variety and Complexity
As the organisers of the World Modern Jive Championships we believe in openness, honesty and transparency. So, from 2012, for each competition category, the judge’s individual scores will be displayed on the results board for all semi-finals and finals. This will give competitors the opportunity to not only see their placing but also how they were scored in each area of criteria theywere marked on.
By accessing the information on this website and/or by attending Blackpool MJ Championships you agree to our terms and conditions including the agreement of all rules in place.
